Router Mesh

eero is a US-based company specializing in Wi-Fi mesh systems, founded in 2014 and acquired by Amazon in 2019.
It stands out for its plug-and-play solutions, designed to deliver reliable coverage and high performance in both residential and professional environments.
Its key strength lies in a software-first approach, with automatic updates, cloud-based management, and built-in security.
eero is strongly focused on Internet Service Providers and telecom operators, alongside the e-commerce channel.
With its Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 solutions, eero aims to set a benchmark for next-generation home networking.

CONTEXT

When a connection doesn’t perform as expected, end users tend to blame the internet line, even though the real bottleneck is often the modem/router. Wi-Fi that doesn’t reach every room, inconsistent speeds, unexpected dropouts, and complex setup processes turn everyday connectivity into a frustrating and unreliable experience. The result is a negative perception of the service as a whole: technology stops being an enabler and becomes a problem. In this scenario, dissatisfaction grows, trust erodes, and many customers end up switching providers, even when the underlying line is technically sound.

TECHNOLOGY

eero was designed to eliminate the technical complexity typical of traditional routers: app-guided installation, a self-configuring mesh network, and automatic updates dramatically reduce errors and manual intervention.
The goal is to deliver reliable, seamless, and transparent Wi-Fi that simply works, without requiring any technical skills from the end user.

In addition, eero offers a dedicated platform called eero Insight, built specifically for operators, enabling full visibility and centralized management of the entire installed base, from monitoring and troubleshooting to optimization and support.

CHALLENGE

The real challenge was introducing a new vendor into the European market, while proposing to ISPs a model that was fundamentally different from the traditional one. The shift from a CAPEX-based approach to an OPEX-based model delivers significant benefits in terms of flexibility, scalability, and cost control, but it also requires a paradigm shift -not only technological, but above all cultural and operational.

ACTION

We built a structured commercial coverage across the main European markets — the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the Nordic countries — through a dedicated team of local Account Executives. This direct presence enabled us to establish long-term, trusted relationships with leading Tier I and Tier II ISPs, adopting a consultative, long-term approach. In parallel, we set up a continuous feedback loop with headquarters, capturing the specific needs of each country and reporting them in a structured way. This ongoing dialogue allowed us to align the product, business model, and roadmap with real local market requirements, accelerating adoption and strengthening the solution’s positioning across Europe.

RESULT

Today, eero is recognized as one of the leading reference points in Europe in the premium modem/router segment, standing out not only for its technological performance but, above all, for its strong focus on service and customer experience. ISPs that have adopted the end-to-end solution have achieved up to a 95% reduction in customer support calls, thanks to a more stable and easily managed network. This has been accompanied by a significant decrease in churn and an increase in customer loyalty, also driven by the activation of advanced security services, which enhance the value perceived by end users and strengthen long-term relationships between operators and their customers.
