Our client is one of the world’s leading players in the monitor and projector market, renowned for image quality, innovation, and an excellent balance between performance and cost.
CONTEXT
Sell-out data collection is one of the key areas that a vendor must monitor with accuracy and consistency. However, data often comes from different sources, which increases the risk of inconsistencies and errors.
TECHNOLOGY
Our client uses a Business Intelligence tool for this type of activity, but the inconsistency of the incoming data prevents reliable data analysis.
CHALLENGE
Each distributor in different european countries uses different formats, irregular submission frequencies, and often incomplete or non-standardised levels of detail. This results in a heterogeneous flow of files, reports, and datasets that are difficult to consolidate, with missing information or data that cannot be easily compared. As a consequence, commercial analysis requires significant manual work, slows down decision-making processes, and makes it challenging to obtain an accurate and timely view of actual market performance.
ACTION
We have developed a system capable of acquiring data from heterogeneous sources and standardising it into a unified format. Through dedicated tools, we can automatically recover or reconstruct missing information, resulting in a complete dataset ready for analysis. The process runs on a monthly or weekly basis, depending on specific needs. Finally, a supervisor validates the quality of the output, ensuring absolute accuracy.
RESULT
Thanks to this system, the vendor now has accurate and constantly updated reports, enabling the various countries to perform precise analyses and make forecasts that are fully aligned with real market conditions.
The quality and consistency of the data provide complete visibility over performance, reducing uncertainty and minimizing errors. Moreover, this data collection and normalization infrastructure opens new development opportunities with existing customers, supporting them in new projects.
